If you suffer from dry skin, incorporating more avocados into your diet may help alleviate symptoms.
They’re rich in monounsaturated fat and vitamin E, both of which promote healthy skin. Try them in salads and sandwiches, and even in smoothies such as this one from The Flirty Foodie. They make a great base for a healthy snack from guacamole to a salad with prawns or chicken. There is a common misperception that they’re unhealthy and high in fat and calories. At The Nutribox we believe variety is an important component in any healthy diet so we wouldn’t suggest you eat them every day but 2-3 times per week should do you no harm.
